Yeah!!!! A HUGE Birthday party!

Dearest colleagues,

As Gail Kinsky Palermo has just noted, she and I are now officially on board to celebrate the greatest Brithday Party EVER! We managed to get flights from Connecticut and Illinois to Atlanta (arriving close in time) where we will hang out, have lunch, and board for Charleston. We need a BIG calendar for all our birthdates that can be scanned onto our PC's so we can remember everyon's special day. Is that an impossibility? In fact, my cousin Penny Zutes Rivers was actually born on Sunday, March 15. Shall we make a huge birthday cake with lots of candles for ourselves?

Although we have only rented a small car, we could probably accommodate someone else in our car from Charleston to Edisto if arriving at Charleston around 2:30 PM Thursday. My phonoe is 309-383-4315 (or cell 309-712-3460) since I am on line a lot trying to finish this book.

We are looking forward to a stupendous birthday party. Bring pictures. I have two granddaughters and two grandnieces--we are waiting for some boys! Can we dance one of those nights? Should bring a Scrabble or Monopoly game?

I just received Pauline's directions and have a dumb question everyone else seems to know. Are we staying at a hotel, resort, house, or what? Having just signed up, I don't know the background.

Love your enthusiasm!! We can dance and sing and carry on until the police come to ask us to quiet down.

We'll definitely have a big cake and lots of candles. We'll either make it or let the Piggly Wiggly (the only grocery store on Edisto) make one for us.

Tell Penny that she needs to join us as the official birthday person!!! It would be wonderful to celebrate her actual birthday. Plus, we need her talents on the keyboard.

Edisto is a casual, laid-back place -- hotels, movie theaters, or malls. It's kind of an old-timey beach feeling. We'll be staying in private homes that are available to rent.. As soon as the count is firm, we'll commit on the houses and provide links that usually have several photos.

Oops - I lost the "no" in front of hotels, movie theaters or malls.

Definitely bring photos. We'll have a board where you can post them with identifying captions.
