Dear Pauline, Mary Ellen, and Nancy, Thank you for your kind invitation to come to the Island. I always love the stories and pictures you send. I am preparing 10 piano students for the New York State Music Association judging which takes place at the end of the month so I have to stay for lessons. If anyone is coming to the Hamptons look me up….Love to all and have a wonderful party. Pat Siedlecki Dwyer

CHERYL GRAVELLE LEARNED
Thank you for the wonderful invitation. I wish I could join you. I supervise student teachers from SUNY Potsdam, so, unfortunately, cannot get away. I hope you all have a terrific time! I'll think of you while I'm here in 15 degree snow-covered north:-)

I'm sorry for the delay, Pauline. I was watching Pat's progress in recovering from knee replacement surgery. I'm not going to be able to join you. I don't think that he'll be able to function on his own for that length of time in just two weeks. Our family is up North, so I can't call on them. It's really important for him to a good rehab experience, so I better stick with him. I'll miss all of you, and I hope you all have a great time.
Love, Carol

LINDA STROHMEYER
Pauline, I was so happy to get the invitation to the party in Edisto. Gloria Forgione has told me what fun you have had there. Unfortunately, I teach part time and so will be unable to come, but am pleased to be back on the mailing list so I can at least be aware of the possibilities. You have my address and now my e-mail, strawpickr@optonline.net. Say “hi” to everyone – Gloria is good about keeping me somewhat up to date – and have a terrific weekend! Linda Strohmeyer

MARY ANN DELPLATO COREA
Hi Pauline, Mary Ellen and Nancy,
You are so generous to again host the 65th Birthday Celebration. Your organization and gracious hospitality are so remarkable in all your communication. I regret that I will not be able to come this time. I have very fond memories of our last celebration in Edisto and I know this will be as memorable.
To all of you dear classmates I wish a fun filled weekend with bright skies. Happy 65th Birthday !!
Love,
Mary Ann DelPlato Corea

KAREN KRAPF
Hi Pauline,
We had such and wonderful time in Edisto five years ago; I'm so sorry I won't be with you all for a repeat performance. Nancy Neary helped arrange -- would you believe -- the 50th grammar school reunion of St. Margaret Mary's in Rochester last August, so this is bound to be so much fun too! I'll be thinking of you from the snow drifts of Massachusetts and hope you'll post a few pictures for the rest of us!

MARCIA GRUCZA BECK Subject: RSVP Naz '66 - Regrets

Dear Pauline, Mary Ellen, and Nancy,

Today, I realized I must send my regrets for the gathering at Edisto. Our contractor thinks our house may be ready for us to move back in around March 7. So, leaving for along week-end just a few days later will not work well for me. it would be difficult for me to relax and enjoy the week-end. I'd be thinking about organizing and unpacking at home and not be fully present with all of you. Please let everyone know, I will miss being a part of this "CONNECTION."
Thank you all for all the organization and planning. You are great to follow through with all of this for us.
May peace and love and good health be with each of you.
Hugs,
Marcia
Pauline note: In mid-January Marcia and Dick had water line in the attic break, which did extensive damage in two hours while they were visting at a friend's house. They had to move into a hotel and have the whole house packed up and put in pods.

DONNA ARGANBRIGHT BLACK

Hi,
What a nice invitation. Can you believe we’re turning 65??? Time does fly. I will have just returned from an East coast visit to see my parents at the end of February and won’t be able to return so soon to the East Coast. So I will be thinking of you all and know you’ll have a great time. I’ll participate in the quilt raffle. Hi to all and have fun!!!
Love, Donna Arganbright

Subject: Sorry I can't join you
Dear Classmates
What a wonderful group of women in our class! I can't believe we're this OLD!!!
Sorry that I will not be able to join you at our 65th Birthday Party! I am sure there will be many laughs about "the good old days" (as my kids would call them). Have a wonderful time together. Our daughter is being married in San Francisco this Spring so we are traveling there. Thinking of all of you with fond memories,
Patsy

MARY DENNISTON HAUST
Hi Pauline..
Sorry my technical wizardry did not let me "leave a message" so yo get it directly! What a wonderful birthday for you all...I just used Medicare for the first time...yikes!
I have yet to attend a Naz reunion but my thoughts are often about my old colleagues. This is another time that I will not be around. With four children and nine grandchildren, Steve and I have become a "traveling Nanny Show"... Hope you all have a blast on your "65th" and aren't we lucky to be celebrating? Take care!
Fondly,
Mary Denniston Haust

MARY BOND CHRISTOPHER
Dear Class,
Would so have wanted to go this year but will be in Fla. with visitors from family and friends and can't leave them unattended. I hope to God that this is posted as I am very challenged technically. Can't believe Pauline is so talented. Enjoy and maybe next time I will be free to join hopefully with all faculties, both physically and mentally, intact. If not, maybe someone could lead me at least to the door of the toilet.

Hi Pauline,
Although I was looking forward to going, my husband and I have a Mexican Riveria trip booked for 3/9-3/21. Wish everyone Happy Birthday for me! Too bad it was such short notice.

MARY ANNE WALSH GRATTON
Unfortunately I cannot attend the Edisto weekend. That is the weekend of the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Rochester and my husband is part of the committee that puts that on. Consequently, it involves me also starting early morning and going til the evening. It's a big weekend for the Irish community in Rochester and we are involved on several levels. I feel sad to miss it--I have such wonderful memories of the previous weekends. Thanks for your hard work in planning and, of course, thanks to Mary Ellen and Nancy, hostesses extroardinaire. I'll be thinking of you all. Have a wonderful time and I'll toast one, (or more), to all of you that weekend
'
Love,
Mary Anne Grattan

From: cgibbons@localnet.com [mailto:cgibbons@localnet.com]
Hi - Thanks for getting info out to us regarding the upcoming time for the Class of '66 celebration in March. I am unable to take part for a variety of reasons one of the "nicest" of which is that my oldest nephew is being married in Saratoga Springs,NY on March 14. Closer to the event in Edisto I'll send more info on what I've been up to of late.
Happy New Year!!

LINDA A. IACELLI
Hi, Pauline, I am sorry it is not going to work out for me to go this coming Spring. I have business trips the week of March 9 (preventing me from coming the 13th weekend) and another one the week of March 30. In April I have to be away the weekend of April 17-20. So lots of travel to do, and I think it best to not try and squeeze another in! I’ll miss you all but will be there in spirit! I tried to just put those comments in the Wiki but I don’t have time to fill in all the other info it asks for! Thanks, and Happy New Year!
Linda

JEANNE GASSER McELHINNEY
I'm so sorry I have to miss the celebration this year - especially since I am one of the first to receive my Medicare card! We are spending almost 3 weeks in California with my son whom we haven't seen in a year. There will be a connection though - we hope to spend some time on the old Route 66! Hope someone has a webcam or camcorder to record all the antics and gossip. Wonder if the neighbors will call the police again this year?
Love, Jeanne

CAROLYN DELLAPIETRA FROST
Sorry to miss the celebration, the warm weather and the fun. I'll be thinking of you and singing Happy Birthday from cold and snowy New England.
